			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>DornerWorks, Ltd. is seeking a well-rounded Embedded Software Engineer to join our team of talented engineers in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  We are a leader in embedded software, electronic hardware, and custom logic design, specializing in safety critical markets.</p>
<p>- Design, code and debug applications and or system-level software in various languages.<br />
- Undertake analysis of software requirements, review, identification of code metrics, system risk and reliability.<br />
- Perform software modeling and simulation<br />
- Support, maintain and document software functionality<br />
- Integrate software with existing systems and with embedded hardware designs</p>
<p>Requirements:<br />
-Prior experience in designing, developing, and testing embedded software to detailed requirements.<br />
-BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Computer Engineering ( BSCE) or Computer Science<br />
-High proficiency in C/C++<br />
-Knowledge of communications standards; such as Ethernet, CAN, LIN, PCP/IP, USB and others<br />
-Knowledge of micro-controllers; Freescale, Microchip, Texas Instruments (TI), and others<br />
-RTOS development experience such as Linux, VxWorks, QNX, MCIOS and others</p>
<p>Desirable:<br />
-Familiarity with DOORS or Dimensions<br />
-Experience in automotive, medical or aerospace industry<br />
-Familiarity with SPICE/CMMI<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>DornerWorks, Ltd. is seeking a well-rounded <strong>Senior Hardware Electronic Engineer </strong>to join the team at our rapidly growing facility in Novi, Michigan.  We are a leader in embedded software, electronic hardware, and custom logic design, specializing in safety critical markets.   Our engineers participate in the full engineering life cycle from requirements to test for electronic embedded systems for leaders in the automotive, aerospace, medical industries.</p>
<p>Responsible for schematic design for multi-layer, high density PCB layout including:<br />
- Debug, test and characterization of circuits<br />
- Design for EMC/EMI<br />
- Lead and perform DFMEA, worst case analysis, EMC testing, and PFMEA<br />
- Works with manufacturing to support prototype sample builds and test.<br />
- Projects include high speed digital design, high sensitivity analog design and high speed communications design, circuit design and layout techniques, including analog, digital, programmable logic and microcontroller technologies</p>
<p>Skills:<br />
-BS in Electrical Engineering, (BSEE), Computer Science or Computer Engineering<br />
-4 plus years’ experience in automotive electronic design<br />
-Microcontroller based design experience with SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN communications.<br />
-Experience with some of the following controllers: Freescale, Atmel, Texas Instruments (TI),Cypress, ST, Renasys, Microchip<br />
-Skilled with high speed digital design, high sensitivity analog design and high speed communications design<br />
-Analog and digital system modeling and analysis using PSPICE and Labview)<br />
-Experience using standard test equipment<br />
-Familiar with most of the following; DFMEA, TEST, Functional Test, End of line, Bed of Nails test<br />
-Familiarity with at least some of the following: VHDL, Altera, Xilinx, Actel, Freescale, TI DSP, Microchip, 8 bit through large 32 bit<br />
-Analog design op-amp, switch mode power supply, AC-DC, DC-DC, H-bridge, BLDG Motor Design/Controls, CAN LinBus<br />
-Experience with product development cycle, including project deliverable timing, work flow and gate reviews</p>

Description:<br />
Selected individual will work with our Mentor Graphics toolset (DxDesigner, DxDatabook, PADS 9.3 and Expedition) to conduct full-cycle engineering design cycle from requirements to test. Will design and layout printed circuit boards, including footprint definition, part selection, library entries, routing, simulation, test). May include some schematic work as well as guiding board into production.<br />
Required skills:- 5+ years Hardware engineering experience; including both PCB design and layout using the Mentor tool-chain.<br />
- BSEE or related engineering degree<br />
- Familiarity with Mentor Graphics design tools, particularly DxDesigner, DxDatabook, PADS 9.3, Expedition.<br />
- Knowledge of Hyperlynx preferred.<br />
- Familiarity with aerospace hardware processes and standards<br />
- Experienced with the full engineering design cycle from requirements to test<br />
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently<br />
- Ability and desire to adapt to diverse customer base<br />
- Competent in developing solutions as well as identifying problems<br />
- Knowledge of production process to ensure quality and robustness<br />
- Currently authorized to work in the United States<br />
- Individual must reside or be willing to relocate to Michigan<br />
- Availability to travel up to 25% of the time<br />
Additional skills desirable:<br />
- Familiarity with software to aid in board bring-up and testing<br />
- Familiarity with video processing boards<br />
- Experience with mechanical CAD<br />
