- Design, code and debug applications and or system-level software in various languages.
- Undertake analysis of software requirements, review, identification of code metrics, system risk and reliability.
- Perform software modeling and simulation
- Support, maintain and document software functionality
- Integrate software with existing systems and with embedded hardware designs

Requirements:
-Prior experience in designing, developing, and testing embedded software to detailed requirements.
-BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Computer Engineering ( BSCE) or Computer Science
-High proficiency in C/C++
-Knowledge of communications standards; such as Ethernet, CAN, LIN, PCP/IP, USB and others
-Knowledge of micro-controllers; Freescale, Microchip, Texas Instruments (TI), and others
-RTOS development experience such as Linux, VxWorks, QNX, MCIOS and others

Desirable:
-Familiarity with DOORS or Dimensions
-Experience in automotive, medical or aerospace industry
-Familiarity with SPICE/CMMI

Responsible for schematic design for multi-layer, high density PCB layout including:
- Debug, test and characterization of circuits
- Design for EMC/EMI
- Lead and perform DFMEA, worst case analysis, EMC testing, and PFMEA
- Works with manufacturing to support prototype sample builds and test.
- Projects include high speed digital design, high sensitivity analog design and high speed communications design, circuit design and layout techniques, including analog, digital, programmable logic and microcontroller technologies

Skills:
-BS in Electrical Engineering, (BSEE), Computer Science or Computer Engineering
-4 plus years’ experience in automotive electronic design
-Microcontroller based design experience with SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN communications.
-Experience with some of the following controllers: Freescale, Atmel, Texas Instruments (TI),Cypress, ST, Renasys, Microchip
-Skilled with high speed digital design, high sensitivity analog design and high speed communications design
-Analog and digital system modeling and analysis using PSPICE and Labview)
-Experience using standard test equipment
-Familiar with most of the following; DFMEA, TEST, Functional Test, End of line, Bed of Nails test
-Familiarity with at least some of the following: VHDL, Altera, Xilinx, Actel, Freescale, TI DSP, Microchip, 8 bit through large 32 bit
-Analog design op-amp, switch mode power supply, AC-DC, DC-DC, H-bridge, BLDG Motor Design/Controls, CAN LinBus
-Experience with product development cycle, including project deliverable timing, work flow and gate reviews
