DornerWorks Shows Embedded Xen on New i.MX 8
PLYMOUTH, MI– Today at NXP FTF Connects Detroit, DornerWorks is showing a demonstration of embedded Xen running on NXP’s newly-announced i.MX 8 applications processor platform. The demonstration shows safety-focused isolation of two different operating systems running on the multicore processor, with the real-time critical speedometer and tachometer gauges in one operating system domain, and a non-critical application running in the other domain.

Built with advanced media processing, secure domain partitioning and innovative vision processing, the i.MX 8 applications processor family will revolutionize multiple display automotive applications, industrial systems, vision HMI and SBC systems.
