DornerWorks VP elevated to “Senior Member” of IEEE
Steve VanderLeest, DornerWorks Vice-President of Research & Development, was recently elevated to the grade of “Senior Member” by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Less than 10% of the members of the society attains this level and VanderLeest was the only West Michigan member elevated during the October meeting of the review panel. To be eligible for application, candidates must be engineers, scientists, educators, technical executives, or originators in IEEE-designated fields; must have experience reflecting professional maturity; must have been in professional practice for at least ten years; and must show “significant performance” over a period of at least five of their years in professional practice.
