Yocto layer for XZD Released
DornerWorks XZD is transitioning to a Yocto based rootfs and build system and as part of this transition have made the XZD Yocto layer available to the public. This layer will make it easier for customers to integrate XZD, freeing them from some of the mundane details of building and integrating a Xen based system, which will allow them to better concentrate on what they do best. The layer and instructions for using it can be found in github at https://github.com/dornerworks/meta-xzd. A repo manifest which simplifies the process can also be found in github at https://github.com/dornerworks/xzd-yocto-manifests.
A lot of embedded product developers struggle with the learning curve surrounding the technology needed to isolate different software applications on today’s powerful multicore processors. The Xen Zynq Distribution (XZD) is our solution to this problem for the Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC.
